What an amazing Christmas we had. Both Kids with the ex’s so Tina and I loaded up and headed south from the Phoenix Arizona to La Paz Mexico. We took a fiery back to the mainland of Mexico in Topolabombo and headed North for Puerto Penasco just in time the Annual New Years Eve Benefit!
These are some pictures from the First, second and third walk for the foundation. It covers the entire way from the outskirts of Phoenix to the first stop light in Rocky Point. Some pictures are from the second year that Rich LaNasa walked with me.
In 2003 I started the Penasco Childrens Foundation by walking 200 miles to raise money to help a couple children who’s families couldn’t afford their medical needs.. Now more than 40 children later, there is a lot of good thing that all the people who are now part of the charity have done for the children of Sonora. A very special thanks to everyone who makes this a reality
Here are some pictures from last year when we went up to the snow and did some river crossings and four wheeled exploring around payson in the snow.
We had a really great time this year for the Parrot Mafia Concert. Mark Mulligan, Rob Mehl and Gary Seiler all sang to a standing room only sold out crowd. It was the first thing this year that I have been able to sell something out in Rocky Point. What a great time. During the Fan’s VIP party Mark Choked on some of the food, thanks to his dad and Mr Himlick Mark is still singing. I think we are going to do it again in April.
A call came in that people on the Baja were in trouble with out drinking water and basic supplies. So on September 15th Many friends and family came to answer the call, armed with water purification systems that will provide enough drinking water for a 1300 a day we set off first to Puerto Penasco then to Guymas and the next day accross the sea of cortez in my trusty Saratoga filled to the roof with supplies for the people of Cuidad de Insurgentes. The people were amazingly kind and my host and coordinator Diplimato Juan Hernandez the trip was a huge success.
The Following People Made the relief trip possible. I want to recognize them for their support over the years and the generosity for the people in Mexico
